Churros are a Spanish-style fresh spin on donuts that are piped into straws. They can be dipped in chocolate or fruit sauces, or even filled!

Water 250 grams
Granulated sugar 40 grams
Salt 2 grams
Vegetable Oil 60 grams
All-purpose Flour 100 grams
Natural Cinnamon Flavour WONF BD222 3 grams
Total 455 grams


Additional oil for frying and sugar for rolling

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, sugar, salt, vegetable oil and Cinnamon flavour. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  2. Heat oil for frying in deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Pipe strips of dough into hot oil using a pastry bag. Fry until golden; drain on paper towels.
  3. Roll drained churros in sugar. Serve with chocolate or strawberry sauce.
